man that blue rams frame is flexing something feirce... look aht the body lines between the bed and the cab... cant be too good

anyway

a budy of mine jsut bought a regular hitch from a swap meet for 20 bux and fabed it into the front frame of his 2gen ram... fit wicked nice too... and cheep!!! we used a 4 grade 8 bolts on each side then welded each seam wiht an arc welder... the frame will blow up before that hitch comes off.....just an idea.. fabing is always much more fun then buying bolt ons!

usally stronger too unless its someone who duzent know what there doing

the outher thing is grade 8 bolts arnt always the way to go a grade 5 will flex more than an 8 so the 8 will shear off easer than a 5. grade 8 is good where there is a consatant heavy load (stadic load) where as grade 5 is good for flexing (dynamatic load) but since its welded (with a 7018 or somthing equivlent i hope) you will have no worries

I'm considering a dual front setup. I want to fab two matching bumpers, one for my 99'Ram, one for my 77' F250. The bumpers will have removable centers which attach to the two hitches. One center section will contain my 12,000 lb. Ramsey, the other will just be a filler with tow hooks. The center with the winch will also have a center 2" tube to slide inte my over-and-under hitch for the back of the Ram for loading dead vehicles on my trailer. Something I forgot about for a while; thanks for bringing it back to my attention. I'll definately post pics when I'm finished.

Thanks Tani... just what I was looking for. Nice flex BTW. Just wondering, do you have any BL on that thing? The hitch seems to sit a tad low from the bumper.

Cool, so the Hidden Hitch should be better 'hidden' on mine when installed.
