What are these parts?
.
I was up underneath the truck over the weekend, getting midevil on a stubborn brake drum that didn't want to come off, and I noticed a few parts that I have no clue what they are. I was hoping that someone could identify them. The first is mounted to the framerail, and it has what looks like a linkage that connects down at the lower shock mount.

The second pic is of a small bracket-looking piece mounted to the frame. There's one on each side of the truck, and they swing loosely. Not sure if they're part of the spare tire system or not.

the first one is a brake proportioning valve. it will sense if there is a load in the bed and apply some of the drum brake to assist in the brakeing of your truck.
the second one I'll go along with the exhaust hanger that was used when truck had origional exhaust.

Thanks Drew - I was thinking something having to do with sensing a load, since it was tied into the shock mount. I guess as it squats, it'll move the lever, which will in turn let it do it's thing. Now, I need to clean it up.
Taking another look at the second part, I can see the exhaust hanger connection. The muffler and tail pipe are new, and with one of these on each side, that says it used to have duals. Bummer.
