Wind noise from door frames
My 1996 Ram 1500 makes a tremendous amount of wind noise at speed from the front, upper corner of each of the front door frames (just below where the frame makes its bend to form the top of the window frame--kinda up by where the sunvisors hang). I can pull on the door frame at that spot and make the wind noise stop, so it looks like the door simply isn't making a good seal with the door gasket at that point. My question is this: do I need to replace both of the door gaskets completely, or is there a way to adjust or tweak the door to make a better fit at that spot. Has anyone else experienced this issue? It's happening on both doors, so it seems like it might be common. Thanks.
I have the same noise.
A friend of mine that used to work at the Nissan dealer actually mentioned rolling the window down and bending the door into position.
He said they had to do that to new vehicles a few times.
I usually have the windows down part way so I expect some wind noise; but if it works for you I may get around to doing mine.
My 96 Ram is doing the same thing but only on the driver side. I thought it was just a problem with my truck. I'm glad to hear other people having the same problem. I'll take it in soon and see what the dealership can do about it. Sounds like something they should fix!
