I use the grill inserts as well, but didn't have the $$$ for em, so took a few sheets of x-mas wrapping paper, cut it down, traced an outline of the grill, transfered to piece of duct work I had in the garage and cut em out with tin snips, then painted flat black.

It's not the most professional looking thing, my lines and curves could use some practice, but it works and didn't cost a dime. Hold them in place with black zip ties at each corner. Was going to use lag bolts, but couldn't find black ones I was willing to pay for in the 15 minutes I spend looking. LOL

I use the crome bubble insulation you can buy at home depot and put it infront of my rad. its water proof and doesn't weigh alot. I use plastic zipties to hold it on. The plastic lund grill inserts are POS. the plastic clips that hold them in will wear out and they will fall off. There are stainless stell ones you can but that have a screw that goes through the honey comb in the grill to fasten it more secure. i would recommend these.

The Lund ones just clip onto the honeycomb grill, so you can put them off and take them off in seconds. Just push them into place. Though yours where cheaper and do the same thing, the zip ties probably don't make install and removal that great. Got any pics though?

I've been using mine for 4 years, and they are still working great, not a single problem with the clips wearing out or breaking. Plus, where I live, it can be below 0 in the morning and then above 30 in the afternoon. So when I use them, I take them in and out constantly. So the clips get used a lot more then people who put them in and leave them in for a long time until warm weather returns. I'd recommend them to anyone, they have held up very well.

Install and removal is not too bad. Off is real easy. Clip and pull. I lied though...I only used 2 ties per cover, one on each side corner to corner, rather than 4.
grill covers

One of these days I'll make another set and leave tabs on them. Have some ideas for attaching so it doesn't look like I used baling wire.
