Default electrical question

hey guys i have a question
about a week ago i park my 96 dodge ram 1500 2wd with a v8 5.2 motor and i when't to go to work and it would start well i have fuel pressure coming off the fuel rails but i check my spark and i am not getting any spark the distributor cap was replaces about 15,000 miles ago along with the spark wires. now i replace the coil on it and still nothing a friend told me his dodge had a similar problem but he replaced the crankshaft sensor so i am going to try that any ideas on what it is all 8 wires had no spark

it does sound like the crankshaft sensor.

thats what i think cause i am having to barrow a vechicle and i'd like to drive mine again i bought it but i gotta install it

Go to autozone and get those socket extensions that are bendable. They look like tightly coiled springs.

I would have never gotten my CKP off off without them. Or a universal joint. Oh, and practice yoga to get flexible enough to cramp yourself in between the passenger fender and engine.

Oh, and search "cmckenna" and look through threads he has posted in. He goes through many steps and checks to find out what exactly the problem is (a relay, CKP, CPS, coil).

He has posted about this problem many times. i just can't remember all his info. Take a look at his posts and you will see what I mean. he is an engineer.
