Wait whats so bad about Fram? I use the extra gaurd I've had no complaints but if they dont do a good filter job I wanna know. My typical oil change is every 3000 Fram extra gaurd and Pennziol Ultra and Seafoam. Not here to ask about seafoam I know how some hate and some love. Just wanna know about the Fram filter lol.

Frams don't use metal to holds the filter medium in place so it can fall apart inside the filter casing. Most other brands use metal ends inside to hold the filter media.

I use Purolator Pure One.

I use a NAPA Gold (WIX) as I feel they are the best filter. Here is a good site that compares filters and lets the info provided to you in the comparisons help you decide what is best in your opinion, rather than pushing a specific brand.

Cut the filter open. You'll never use one again.
