So that winter storm just blew through the south here. Now i get a check engine light every other trip to town i make. Heater circut bank 1. heater circut bank2 the next trip. Then both somethimes. then one or the other. I got a new one in front of the cat but the back one has some age on it. And now occasionally the truck will seem like its hesitating really bad from stop so bad i have to let off the gas and stomp it to go. Any correlation? all help is welcomed. thanks ahead

 

What brand of O2 sensor did you get? Bad pre-cat unit could cause the hesitation.

Is the catalytic converter OK? You can usually get an exhaust shop to test them for you.

 

its a denso from rock auto. and the check engine light cam on again on the way to work and when i was driving home it just turned off. Does that make any sense?

cat is pretty new so i doubt that

 

Did you reset the PCM after installing it? (Involves disconnecting battery, turning headlamp switch on for 30 seconds or so, turn off headlamp switch, reconnect battery.)

 

going to do it right now. would that cause the hesiation? cuz itt did seem to come out of no where
