Default will this lift fit my truck????

im looking a buying a 5 inch lift for my truck used but its on a 2001 and my tucks a 97 but my truck is a sport model i know how some things where done a lil bit different on the sports for some stupid *** reason and will i have to buy extensions for the drive shaft and **** like that

There should be no difference between the 97 and the 2001 except if one of them has the offroad package. The sport is just an appearance package. I don't believe you have to modify your driveshaft for a 5" lift but it might depend on the kit manufacturer. If your buying it used, ask the person it came from what they had to do. Make sure they give you everything that came with the lift.

ok and me and my buddy compaired trucks because he had the same truck as me without the sport package and there was alot of **** that was different i had a brush guard i bought that didnt fit my truck but fit his and our trucks are also the same year

Exterior accessories and things like that will not fit between sport and non sport models because of the different bumpers and things like that. Underneath your trucks are the same.

there is NO difference in parts between, a 98 and older sport and a non sport truck, on 99 and newer sports there is differences.

IIRC in 2000 they changed the size of the lower control arm bolts(made them bigger) that me a slight problem with a pretty easy fix, someone else should know forsure on this though

you do not need to modify your driveshaft at all, what is included in the sale? can you post a list of parts you will be getting, from there we will be able to tell you anythign else you may need to purchase
