oil pressure problems

Default oil pressure problems

i have a 98 5.9 gas lately the check gauge light comes on an the oil pressure drops to 0 but comes back up a sec later im jus tryin to get some ideas of what the problem may be any ideas?

Start with the simple stuff first...replace your oil pressure switch...it is NAPA Part# MPE OP6189SB....most of the time with erratic oil pressure gauge readings, a faulty oil pressure switch is the culprit.

thank folks got it fixed the pick up tube was clogged
