stock rim and new tire

Hello, I have the stock 16x7 five spoke rims on my '98 ram 1500 and I just bought 285/75 16 nitto terra grapplers, and I'm wondering am I going to be able to put them on the stock rims? I've read online that the smallest you can go with 285s are a 8" wide rim, and other say they've put up to 12.5 tires on the 7" rim....Thanks in advance....Chris

Put it on there. There are so many Dodges with 285s...
