Hey guys,
I am going to re-gear from my 3.55's down to a 4.11 ratio. I have the Power-Lok Limited Slip.
DREP Dana M70/267MM Rear Axle
DSA Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle
and
DJFS Dana M60/248MM Front Axle
I have most all the tools and know how, but no shop right now, so I think a shop is going to capitalize on me this time.....oh well! What I'm getting at is what is a reasonable price for getting a decent R&P gear set installed with new clutch packs if everything goes right?
Anyone got a price quote or a shop here in Northern Utah?

dunno about your area- but I paid $600 ($300 each), and took them the parts (Motive 4.56:1 R&P's, master rebuild kit from Moe's)..
I got off pretty good- as far as the service..
I asked about ten shops not only how much, but how- and the guys I selected are the sole ones that included "we'll hafta take 'em out and put 'em in about three times if we're lucky, six or so if we're not".. and "you'll hafta break 'em in, and change the oil afterwards".. It amazed me the hacks who said they would/could do it but lacked the knowledge.. or at least the principles of doing so..
good luck bro!

www.ringandpinion.com
$306.86
$286.32
______
$593.18 Plus a master bearing and seal kit about $130 Fluid (I use Mobil FS LS) $50 and some Friction Modifier $10 shop supplies and such $50......hmmmmm
$783.18 Plus $130 for clutch packs = $913.18 and some tax = $950 and that don't include labor from what I can see?
Going to call www.sixstates.com in my area and see what they say tomorrow. I would love to find a shop that will just install my parts.....LOL
