Default Help Please

I just traded in my 94 camaro and $1000 for my new truck, Its a 97 Dodge Ram Slt 4x4,Regular Cab, 8ft. Bed, With the 5.9 Liter Engine, Oversized Tires, Brush Guard, Bed Liner, etc..Im new to the truck world and I have always wanted a Dodge so I got one even though my dad and family are all about "ford" but i have switched my girlfriends opinion on dodge and im all about the Dodge. I was wondering how much HP and Ft.Lb Tourqe it has, I know the new 5.7 liter Hemi has around 340hp. The only performance mod. i have did was a K&N air Filter, so if you counld help me with that i'd apreciate it. The exaust looks like it is stock but when you look under the truck there is no muffler, its sounds really nice but its not dual exaust its just a single pipe with no muffler, can that hurt the truck?or what should i do?, and i was wondering how much do 2, or 3" body lifts usually cost?, thanks for the help and its really nice to now own a real truck a Dodge!..

Daniel

Default RE: Help Please

welcome to DF!

you might want to check out this site http://dodgeram.info/ for your specs, I think stock the 360 is 230~235 HP and 300~330 ft lbs TQ but I'm not sure exactly.

I'd also do a suspension lift instead of the body lift 1st then if your out of options then do the body lift...

as for your exaust, your motor doesnt care if there is a muffler there or not, if it sounds good to you, leave it the way it is...
