Default How is everyones Herculiner holding up?

I have been wanting to herculine the rockers and make stripes on my hood but have been putting it off due to the thought of it breaking down fast or peeling. So i want to know if you have herculined anything on your truck how is it holding up? Did you use the uv protectant to keep it glossy, if so how is the gloss holding up? And of course list how long its been that you have had the herculiner on your rig?

Lasting well on both my heavy *** front bumper and my rockers. Just make sure you prep good and apply it correctly, then use the UV coating.

well i painted my rockers and bed about a year ago, only did one coat so i have a paint chip or two inside my passenger rear wheel well from driving on dirt roads and muddin.

my rockers really shine, im guessing from washing my truck with that turtle shine car soap. my bed is semi to flat black, im guessing from the constant uv exposure and dirt because ive never washed the inside of my bed.

sweet i think you guys have convinced me to try my rockers. I am thinking about doing two stripes on the hood and roof to cover the paint that is going bad . It would conture to the hoods natural shape and then continue over the roof because i have paint chipping along the roof line too. I know that i need to sand the areas down to metal and re primer where the paint was flaking off because of bad adheasion, what grit did you scuff the rest of the surfaces with that you want to paint? And how do you think it would look with stripes on the hood/ roof? I was thinking if it came out good i might to a diy on striping but i guess i can be the test dummie...
