Default 5.2 to 5.9 Swap Rehash

I just smoked the 5.2 in my 97 Ram 1500 and would like to swap in a 5.9. I've searched this, and other forums, so I believe I know what I'm getting into but I really would like to hear directly from those who have done this swap with some tips and advice. Thanx' to all who respond.

This is a recent development and I've just had knee surgury so I've got a couple of weeks to get all my ducks in a row - so to speak. I have owned this truck since 2000, have about 188,000 miles on it, and was planning to pull the engine at 200K for a "performance" rebuild so now that I have to replace it I thought I'd make the upgrade. Look forward to hearing from some of you guys.

I have done the project in my '94. Do a search using my screen name as I have posted the information a number of times in much more detail than I want to now. If you have questions about specific things I will answer those.

Thanks for searching first rather than demanding information.
