Default drive pinion replacement/maybe more

I've been doing some research into the dogde rear ends and it seems like they go bad quite often.

I'm attempting to replace some parts this weekend.

I have a 2001 1500 4x4 with a 410 rear end 9.25". 104,000 miles.

I had the housing cover off the rear end this evening, doing some inspections and found some play and some clucking noises when I turned the yoke around.

This is what I plan on replacing:
Drive Pinion Gear Shaft
Rear bearing
bearing cup
Collapsible Spacer
Cup
Front bearing.

Has anyone gone through this task?
Is there anything I should look out for or replace or not replace?

I was planning on also replacing the axle shaft bearings since I have to take the axles out anyways.

I noticed in the book (Haynes) that there is something called an adjuster.....Do I need to adjust this or make sure I put it back together with out adjusting.
I never saw this adjuster before just chims. Any help describing or explaning what these do or I need to do with them would be great.

Thanks in advance.
