Default Truck drives bad

Starting after rotating my tires(in a X pattern). My truck started driving like total crap, floats all over the road, hopes sometimes when turning, especially on snow and ice. I lifted it up and check everything and all i found was a very slight play in the pass side wheel bearing. trucck is down right scary to rive and never did this before tire rotation. (it literally started the moment i pulled it out of the garage). (oh and i did rear brakes...). But anyway everything is tight up front, did the steering wheel wiggle test and other than my normal loose box and that slight play in the wheel bearing that im sure was there before rotation, nothing is out of the ordinary.. Any ideas? Sometimes it seems to drive fine then all of the sudden its really scary.

Wonder if its how my tires are worn, and it will improve over time...

that sounds very probable. not sure if it matters, but i thought you were supposed to rotate tires on the same side...

i don't think rotating the tires in an x pattern is a good thing. when i rotate tires i take the tires off the front and put the on the back and take the ones from the back and put them on the front. that way they stay rotating the same direction.

BINGO.

However, the wheel bearing might be bad, and now you can see it because your tires are different.

x pattern is a big NO GO

Accordign to what i read, your suppose to rotate them by putting the front on the same side as they were on in the rear, and the rear swap side's.

might be a good idea. lets hope you didn't do any damage to the tires. i know it should not make a difference what direction your tires spin but from what i have heard the tires get use to spinning one way whether they are directional or not.
