Transmission shifting Probs. 3rd into 4th
I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 liter V8 and 111,000 Miles. Just had a Transmission shop rebuilt the tranny and My Brother in law and I put it in. We installed it, topped off fluids, took check valve out of line by radiator and drove it about 150 miles so far. As soon as started driving it the problem has occured.
Problem: As I accelarate the truck it shifts from 1st to 2nd just fine, but when it goes into 3rd trying to shift into 4th the RPM's go up to around 3500 then I take my foot off the accelarator and it shifts into 4th then into fith just fine. Happens everytime only shifting 3rd. into 4th. Is this an install issue? Rebuild issue? What should I do?
Thanks Todd
