Default Broke Mechanic 101: Cleaning the ABS Sensors

I was just reading up on "Cleaning your abs speed sensors".

I am the broke mechanic and i have the weekend to mess around with the truck. Has anyone ever attempted this, or has and failed miserably?

Let me know what you think and if i can i will take pictures and do some kind of DIY

Thanks

the sensor is just a fancy magnet. there is not much to clean other than any obvious grease or metal shaving build up, or broken wire.

it doesn't hurt to try. just remove them, pinch off any sticking metal shavings, spray with alcohol or mild cleaner, reinstall.
