You better get them before I do! I would say that they are worth the money, just look very close to be sure there isn't any holes from rust, etc. While it is possible that they may be warped, I am not sure of a good way to check that while you are there looking at them. Nothing a good gasket couldn't fix though.

I say buy 'em, sand 'em down, throw some high temp engine paint at them. I've used Krylon 1200° paint, Black Satin BHK (requires HVLP gun), and some random auto parts store garbage that actually didn't work too bad. The best was the Krylon stuff, it's better in my opinion than the BHK for some reason, and the BHK costs way more.

you will get a bigger gain with sct than superchips, and torque management is taken off also.

the shorties you dont get much of a power gain and there more work involved in snstalling headers. which means more money

I really feel for you guys who have to deal with inspections, here as long as your lights, horn and wiper work and you have insurance, you are good to go.

see... here in good ol NH we arent required to wear seabelts, we dont have to have car insurance if we dont want to, we can play with fireworks, and mst of all we can buy booze on the highway! inpections for us are fairly simple. as long as all your lights work, your horn is good, the wipers work, the brake are good no significant rust anywhere, everything in your drivetrainis good, and it passes the obd test you are good to go. all i need for my truck for inspection is a front left axle joint, and the brakeline that goes to the rear and i get a sticker.

Here in the Yankee North we've got some pretty terrible laws. If your check engine light is illuminated, instant fail, if your OBD-II computer isn't ready for testing, instant fail. Your Catalytic converter looks like it's been tampered with? Instantly failed. Don't have a muffler? Failed. It's quite annoying at times. Luckily it seems like you've all got it a littler better than we do up here! I guess it could be worse, I could live in California ...
