I have noticed that aftermarket motor mounts do not come with heat shields. At napa, the mounts have a hole where the heat shield could be repined if you were to take the time to separate it from the old mount. other brands I have seen have no holes. It seems just difficult enough that I doubt most garages and diyer's do this. I have just changed mine out and didn't reinstall the heat shield and just want your thoughts on this. I am not opposed to tearing back into them if necessary. Thank You.

 

Why couldnt you just bolt the old heat sheilds up to the new motor mounts?

'Ma Mopar put them there for a reason, to keep the exhaust manifolds from melting the rubber motor mounts.
