Fillerneck Plastic!?
Hey guys! Longtime no see.
I just got my ram fixed yesterday.
¤2 clearwater heads.
¤JBA stainless steel headers (shes mean now
).
¤All gaskets involved in a partial engine rebuild.
¤Oil change
¤Gallon or so of antifreeze.
Problem:
My fuel pump went out again..damn they don't make them very well. Bought another from NAPA with better warranty. Problem now is when my so called experienced mechanic dropped the tank he did not loosen the fillerneck from behind the fuel door..and by not doing that he broke the flipping plastic that holds the filler hole still and stationary..if this won't hurt my fillerneck i'll let it slide but I currently cannot have my truck off the road since I work for a gas company now and extensively use my rig. How hard would it be to fix? Truck runs and drives like a caddy..my fillerneck is only a few years old and does not leak. I only noticed it and had a coronary after it got out of the shop and was almost home and stopped for petro.
Anything would be great.
Thanks guys.

I just dropped my gas tank about a month ago and cleaned it out and installed a new fuel pump. If there was enough plastic left on the hole in the gas tank that the filler neck connects to, I would just get a clamp and tighten her on there good. I had to jerry rig a lot with my gas tank not to mention the rollover valve broke.
