I'm new to this site and just wanted to share a problem I had and the solution I found. I have a 1996 2500 4x4 5.9 L with a Jet chip, cold air intake and an aftermarket hood with scoops. I washed the truck a few days ago and got a little spray inside the hood scoops. Afterwards I drove the truck to the store and back and noticed that it was running pretty rough, so I opened it up a few times hoping that it would sort itself out, well much to my surprise, I got in it the next morning and it wouldn't start. After trying to start it day after day for around 3 days,I tried putting a new cap and rotor in it and it still wouldn't start, which is what brought me to find this site. I did a little reading on this forum and went back out to the truck to try a few ideas out and as it turned out the first thing I tried worked. I switched the fuel pump relay with the starter relay and it fired right up, so I switched them back and again it fired right up.

So I just wanted to share this in hopes that someone else can use this trick to get them going someday and also to thank everyone for posting there problems and ideas on this site.
