if the bolts are $40 new at the dealer why wouldnt you just go to the hardware store and buy bolts that have the same thread pitch for $4? thats what i did when i did my plenum repair and it worked perfectly and saved some money also

the reason i went and paid $40 was because i knew they'd work, being from the factory, and the guy knew what bolts i was ordering when i talked to him about it. I didn't have a spare car, to take a bolt outta the motor, and take to the hardware store to compare with. If you can save everyone on the forum 36$ tho, why dont u tell what size and thread pitch u bought, so that everyone can save some money. I dont know what they were, except that they were TTY, and made to hold down the intake manifold. I wasn't the first person in town to come to him asking for the bolts.

Didnt have to pull the head.

Worth every minute of the work. Much nicer now.

If you paid $40 for the bolts at the dealer, you got ripped off. You should pay no more than $20 for TTY bolts.
