just wondering
My thoughts are no- not unless you drive highway miles exclusively, and accelerate to speed one time only, and drive flat highways- burning a full tank before you exit for a refill..
our trucks are heavy rascals.. many report fuel savings by going with steeper gears.. I improved my mileage by going to 4.56:1 from 3.92:1.. you gotta get 'em rolling, and the lower gears do that like no other single mod can.
you could buy a rice burner to go to and from work with, and likely spend less than you would just changing gears out (if you're four wheel drive it will be $1200 or so at a minimum; $600~$800 for just rear installed) much less what a viper costs ($2400 or so)..
