I bought a new idler pulley at Advance auto, and it looked different and didn't fit, returned it, and they said that is indeed the right one (compared it with another). I went to autozone, and theres looked identical. Looking online, the ones that "fit" my truck look just like the one that didn't fit too... and I know it sometimes looks different, but there wasn't even enough clearance for it to fit.

Any takers as to what the hell is up with my truck? I also need a tensioner, but I'm in "WTF" mode right now and want to figure one thing out at a time.

I guess the easy solution is to reuse the pulley and just replace the bearing... isnt that normally the more difficult option?
