Default Overhauling engine please look at pics and advise

hello all wondering if you could take a look at pics and help me out, i appreciate it

also if my cylinders look good, there is no marking no burn marks nothing they are clean and tight, should i still pull the camshaft and pistons out.

right now i am working on getting all the oil and grease cleaned up im thinking i will spray it down with engine degreaser and powerwash it the next day would this work?

thanks for the help

The 2 sensors. The lower one is Crank Position sensor. The upper one on top of block is Oil Pressure. The Distrubutor will come out be removing the hold on on the right side of it. Goes into the block. But be careful cause the drive gear underneath it will come out if you tip motor over. and then you need to be sure to go thru the correct process for putting it all back together.

1 are your lifters, held in place by a retainer. the pistons LOOK fine, but i really cant tell. the two holes on either side of the head bolt hole are water jackets.

i see NO point in tearing into an engine this far, and NOT fully dissassembling it. disassemble it. replace rings and bearings, check piston skirts for scuffing. hone it to re-establish cross hatching. check all your clearances and put it back together.

and from the pic, it really looks like it need to be honed out...so new rings etc would def be in order before you reassemble
