Default Seat swap

I just got 1998 2500 regular cab ST that has the old one piece vynil bench seat last weekend and I am looking for some nicer Factory Dodge seats. Does anyone know or maybe has tried to swap in some 40/20/40 seats from the 3rd gen Dodge ram pickups? I know I could probally swap in a 40/20/40 from a 1998-2002 2nd gen, but so far no wrecking yards close by have any. They do have several sets from the 2002 (1/2)/2003 3/4 and up and that is why I ask the question.

I know with other makes they used the same seat mounting on the floor for years and seats could easily be swapped from on year/body style to another. I am new to the Dodge Rams and do not have that knowledge base yet.

It'd require some fabrication to swap in 3rd gen seats.

I would love some info on this also. Is anyone running any aftermarket seats like Corbeau. It seems to me with all the problems of the drivers side seat breaking down that people would be looking toward another option.

You will want to kill yourself after sitting in seats like that for any extended period of time. If you want seats, Beard buckets are the way to go imo.
