1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 318

My A/C quit working today (yeah it was 95+ outside)!

The fuses and everything looks fine. But the compressor seems to kick on, run for a few seconds and kick back of. It does that over and over.

Any idea? Thanks in advance!

 

I had a 2001 RAM that started doing the short cycle deal.... it was low on coolant.

 

yah, it means the refrigerant is low, get it charged, and dye added so you can find a leak.

 

My 94 ram was doing the same thing. I bought a can of R134A refridgerant with "stop leak" ($12.99) a connector hose ($9.99) @ Autozone. Charged it my self in about 10 minutes, works ice cold now!
