Ok I checked voltage and with the override on it says around 9.5-10 volts, however without anything pressed it still registers 2v does this seem right? The manual for the controller says if something is wired wrong it will tell me on the screen and everything shows just as it should according to the manual?

Could you post a pic of the factory brake controller plug? I've got the tow package but never noticed a plug.

Sure thing man here you go, sorry my camera sucks. If you have the plug it will be under the dash to the left of the steering column. Mine was right behind a that big cluster of wires so I didnt see it either the first time I looked. I had to pull it out of where it was mounted to plug my controller into it.

Got mine plugged in now.. P3 , not sure if it works have not hooked it to trailer .

Question ,, on the 7 pin connector I have on my 2000 1500. There are 2 wires that run all the way to the battery. Ive used them for other 12v power needs.

Will I still need those to oporate my brakes on trailer ? or are they just for
12v AUX Power to the lights and whatnot?
