Default NV231D Transfer case question

I just noticed last weekend that if I park with the front of my 2001 ram higher than the rear that ATF fluid leaks from a weap hole where the TC bolts up to the trans. When it is parked with the front down lower that the back I get no leaks. From my searching it seems like I may have a bad TC seal or Trans seal. I'm leaning towards the trans seal because of the parking on a hill scenario, but would probably do them both while I'm in there. Am I on the right track here?

Thank you.

More than likely, yes. My truck leaks worse when it's backed up on my driveway, than when it's sitting level at the top. Same problem you describe, leaking out of the front of the bell housing.

Yep, you're on the right track. Do 'em both while you're there.
