$20 seems to be a good round number that junk yards seem to like. i bought almost all the emergency brake cables and the emergency brake pedal assembly for my dads 95 ford for $20 and it was all almost brand new. it made me wonder why the truck was scrapped?

 

The local yard here prices by part volume. If you're buying the only one you're gonna pay through the nose but if they got a million of them they'll practically give it to ya.
