If you had 3/4 of a tank of fuel and only went 20-30 miles you would be getting less than 2 miles to a gallon so yeah someone robbed ya

i would setup a security camera. you can get a pretty good setup for less than $40 or if you pay a bit more you can go wireless. i was thinking about installing one myself because i got tons of stuff lying around and i have had stuff stolen off of my side deck in the past.

Thanks guys,

I'll fill up this afternoon, and do my usual number crunching and see what mileage this tank has had.

I've got a truck topper, but I don't feel like hiding out all night on the chance a thief would come by. My bed (mattress) is much more comfortable. If the there is a thief, and it is who I would suspect, I doubt he could read a warning sign.

I knew the locking caps weren't the best solution, but if there is a thief, and it is he who I suspect, I doubt he'd break it to get gas.

get a wildlife trail camera, they take pictures in night vision and only on motion, set it up and get pics of him stealing gas, then take them to the cops. The pics are all dated and time encryted as well, that's how i caught my neighborhood theif taking my coffee change lol, oh ya and baby monitors work good too, leave that buy your truck and sit in your house drinking beer letting the rage build up for the a$$hole that figures he can take your stuff.........lol.

Surveillance cams? Night vision? Pitbulls? It would be cheaper to just let someone take your gas then to go with one of these solutions.
