Default Torch to break loose Axle nut?

So far I have broken 1 breaker bar(1/2") and 2 extensions, and bent another breaker bar trying to bust loose the axle nut. I have tried soaking in CRC freeze off also. The other side was no problem.

So, it seems like a torch to get the nut red is the only option. If I do this will my wheel bearing be toast?

Or is it possible a shop would have an impact gun that could possibly break the nut loose?

A big no on the torch... unless you are replacing the hub bearing too.

The real answer though is an impact... a big 1" one, with lots of air. The nut will come off like butter.

Just a thought, if you are desperate and can't get the truck back together.
The guys who change big truck tires usually use 1" impact guns and have plenty of air. It might be worth the money for the road call (around here it's usually $35-$55 depending on who you call.) to have them come out to your house and zip the nut off.

Is this on the drivers side?
I've heard that some axles have left hand threads.
I have no idea what years or BOM

It is the drivers side. Can anyone confirm if this is the case on a 2000 1500?

2000 is right hand thread. Earlier models had the left.
