Default Sluggish Starting - 97 Ram 1500 5.9L V8

Just bought this truck... love it. One issue that I would like to get fixed, when the truck has been sitting for a while, it sometimes takes 3-4 seconds for the engine to start up. After it has been running a while, it generally cranks right over.

Any thoughts?

Also curious about any fun, but not too insane upgrades I could potentially do. Let me know!

is it turning over slow? then weak battery. these truck hate weak batteries.
if turning over ok, sounds like a fuel problem, maybe weak fuel pump.
when is the last time the truck had a tune up?

I sell some pretty hardcore batteries, so I might try that first. Someone already suggested the fuel pump to me, so I may head that way next. The prospect of paying someone to drop the tank really sucks though.

I did a basic tuneup after I bought it... oil, new plugs, filter. Like I mentioned, the truck runs about as smooth as it gets, other than starting!
