P0432/P0137 together?
My truck threw a cel at me p0137/0432. I looked em up the 432 makes sense the pre 02 sensor is going bad, what does the short to ground mean with the p0137 ? Would the short to ground cause the 0432 code?
P0137-O2 SENSOR 1/2 VOLTAGE LOW
When Monitored: Engine Running for less than 30 seconds. O2 Sensor Heater Temperature
less than 251°C (484°F) Battery voltage greater than 10.99 volts.
Set Condition: The oxygen sensor signal voltage is below 2.5196 volts for 3 seconds. One trip Fault.

P0432-CATALYTIC 2/1 EFFICIENCY
When Monitored: Engine Run time greater than 90 seconds. Engine Coolant greater than
70°C (158°F) Vehicle speed greater than 20 MPH and less than 55 MPH. Engine Speed
greater than 1216 RPM and less than 1952 RPM.
Set Condition: As catalyst efficiency deteriorates, the switch rate of the downstream O2
sensor approaches that of the upstream O2 sensor. If at any point during the test the
switch ratio reaches a predetermined value a counter is incremented by one. One Trip Fault.

Gutted cat or no cat? Anything done to the truck recently and any drivability problems out of the norm? Try siaconnecting the battery to reaet the pcm watching for the code to come back.

i havent done anything to the cat, it was supposedly changed by the po before i bought the truck a year ago but now i am wondering. Is a straight piping so i can delete the cat a bad idea? i would do it but i dont want the pcm to throw codes at me all the time. The only mod i have done within the past two months was SCT. I disconnected the batt already but it decided to give me the codes again like a day later. i will change the o2 sensor and see where that puts me. I had the light before and it turned itself off the time before and i went to scan to see if there was anything and the scanner said no codes. But i am assuming since this is the 3rd time the light is on and staying on that there is a problem lol dang it..
No i havent checked the plenum yet, I am still getting 14mpg and figured that it hasnt blown yet because the mpg is so high still. But i will pull it and check because that would make sense if the cat is bad already...
ok guys so the check engine light turned off today again. This is the 4th time it has come on and stayed for about 100 miles then turned off? What gives? I dont wanna go buy a new sensor if its not bad (theyre pretty spendy). Is this a good indicator the cat is going and its messing with the sensor or is this typical of a bad o2 sensor?
