Default Belt squeals

Ok, I bought a brand new serpentine belt in July of 2010, my power steering pump went out in December of 2010, I opened the hood and power steering fluid got all over the belt. So I took my truck to the mechanic the next day and he changed out the old pump and put the new one in. He told me that my serpentine belt would squeal for a little bit but would go away. Well it is now April and the squeal has gotten worse, it squeals the most when I am idling and when I am turning the wheel, but when I go straight, the squeal completely stops. Like I said the belt is practically brand new but DID get power steering fluid on it when the pump broke. I went out and bought some belt dressing and that doesn't have any effect on it at all.

Once you get power steering fluid on a belt it's contaminated with it, you'll want to replace the serpentine belt as that's the only way to fix it. Belt dressing won't fix the problem, and probably only made it worse.
