Default 99 5.9 4x4 Clutch Issue

I have a 99 2500 with the 5.9 Cummins. About a year and a half ago, I put a South Bend clutch in it. I don't have any problem with the way that it pulls. However, it seems like I do have problems getting the truck into gear sometimes. I have to slide it into 4th/5th or Reverse, then I can put it into 2nd to start off. It does this mostly from a stop, but you also feel a little scuff sometimes, as you go through the gears. I am wondering if my slave cylinder is large enough or what?? Has anyone ever incurred this, or have any suggestions?? Please help, I do not wanna ruin this clutch!! Thanks...

Have you check the fluid level?
