Default Don't you love the smell....

Of coolant when you get out of your truck? I know sometime you can smell the overflow, but I got curious and looked around and saw a drop of coolant resting on the crank pulley. Hmmm... bad water pump I'm thinking.

Yup... sounds like its about time to deal with the WP, and therefore, that damn intake hose

I had to replace that hose when I did my plenum. WP wasn't leaking then... grrrr.

could be the timing cover gasket as well....if you are going to do the water um, do the timing gasket as well, and since you'll go that far, replace the front seal and timing chain....front seal comes with the timing cover gasket, and it has a water pump gasket

I have the same smell but never see any coolant anywhere. I also have the gush of coolant through the heater core when the truck is started.
