hey all...i just did all 4 ball joints. the upper right decided to pop out on me. if i press it back in could i get it tacked into place and have it hold? i have to drive across country on wednesday so i need the fix to hold

 

The same thing happened to me when I did my ball joints. Same side too, upper right.

If I'm not mistaken, it means that the upper control arm is stripped where the ball joint sits.

I slapped a few tack welds on it with my torch and all has been well for the past several weeks.

If you don't have access to a welding set up, I'm sure you could find someone to do it for a reasonable price.
