so new ball joints wheel bearing and plenum
I apolligize for all grammer and spellin screw ups, honestly i dont care enough lol.......so this weekend i deceided to tackle my ball joint problem and the well known plenum problem(well postpone it for another couple of months till i can get either the hughs plate or weld up another intake) anyway, little did i know i was also going to be talking my wheel bearing to.
So i decided to check my passenger ball joints just to see if im gonna need to be doing those in the near future so i jack that tire up, and i notice that the tire seems a bit off so i go to it and try to wiggle it. Sure enought it has about 3/4" of play each way, so i initally thought "oh well itll make it to my parents house where theres a garage full of tools," well i made it........ went to take off the wheel bearing after i got there and after i got the brakes off and the axle nut off i decided to show my brother how much play it had, well when i did that the outer piece of the wheel bearing that had the wheel studs in it just popped off in my hands.................. yea i was lucky to make it the 4 hours to my parents house.
then next i decided to tackle my ball joints OMFG if you dont have the right tools or close to the right tools DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TRY TO ATTEMP THIS, i ended up cutting the top out with a torch but needless to say it all worked out fine and i got them all back in just fine, as for the plenum if you have enough know how to take bolts out and remeber where they go and know how to read an inch pound torque wrench then you wont have to many problem i did mine in about 4 hours and i had broken a plenum bolt.
so the moral of the story is ball joints are a major pain in the ***, wheel bearing not so bad just get a really big cheater bar, plenum take your time and keep track of your bolts
