The other OBD1 option.
While on a little road trip 2 day getaway I ran into one of the options I considered when I went the 408 route. My three were OBD1 reprogram, Holley projection system, or screw it and just throw a carb on her.
So the Manager of the place we stayed had flashed up his '95 Dak and took off. Sounded like a healthy engine in it. On his return I captured his attention and got him to pop up his hood. There sat a lovely Hemi orange Mopar small block stroker crate engine.
Sitting where the barrel intake used to be was an M-1 with a 750 Demon carb on it. He said he was not going to play around with tuning hassles or any other garbage associated with the OBD1. The ECU only controls the automatic trans and he replaced his original dash. Ran very sweet. Oh the other thing he did was throw 200lbs of sand bags over his rearend it didn't help much from what I saw.
