My girlfriend is looking at a 2001 Dodge Ram with the 318. Transmission was supposedly rebuilt with a new torque converter and shift kit 15K miles ago. We test drove it today and when you put it in passing gear, it jerks a couple times before shifting in the higher RPMs. What would cause this and should we stay away from this truck?
