Cool Quick little question.

So ever since I've replaced my Distributor/cap and new wires my truck has been driving very odd. Before I did all the wires and stuff my truck would have a huge hesitation issue. Once I replaced, it was fixed. But, it'll get up and go on a low speed, 0-30 but once it starts getting to about 50 or so on the highway, I try to pass cars and stuff, my truck doesn't want to accelerate at all. Example (close your eyes and pretend )

I'm turning over to pass a vehicle going about 65, and I get over into the other lane and my speed just drops and when I step on the gas, it doesn't want to accelerate right away.

When I replaced the distributor and cap did I do something that I shouldn't have? That was my first time ever doing anything like that. And when I replaced the cap it was basically just a feel around until it was in. On the 97 dodges you can't see what you're doing back there. I know the firing order is correct, and it's not throwing codes. So I'm confused on why it's doing this.

Did you actually pull the Distributor out?
If I remember correctly if you pull it then you have to have the fuel sync reset with DRB 3 scan tool or equivalent, thru dealer or a shop.
You can dowload the service manual from the faqs section and double check that.
Im at work and cant download it.

Sounds normal to me when trying to accelerate in OD without giving it 100% throttle. Even 95% seems to make it want to still try and do it all in OD, which is terrible at everything except gas mileage (and isn't much better at that either).
