I went to get my truck aligned the other day and the guy doing the alignments told me he cudn't adjust the caster i think and said i needed to go buy an offset ball joint. Has anybody had to do this before?

Is it a 4x4? If so I thought the only adjustable joints were for camber. Hmmm idk I've got an adjustable in mine.

Did he tell you if the caster was within factory specs? If its within specs, which it usually is, you don't need to adjust it, and therefore don't need to get the special ball joints.

I can't recall the exact numbers, but the last alignment I had, my caster from side to side was off by .02, and both were within factory specifications. My mechanic told me no need for adjustment there, so no need to get the offset joints. Just because they can't adjust it doesn't mean they can't check it.
