You're really just buying a name. A set of BWD's from oreillys will be fine. I got my cap from autozone with brass inserts for 17 bucks.

I would say no, if your looking for quality wires theres other brands to go to.....MSD used to be great now they have tried to compete with cheaper brands and I think they have sacrificed some quality doing so.

If your just looking for cheap replacements, theres cheaper brands that are the same quality

I'll pipe in and disagree, respectfully.

They are a decent middle of the road set. Thick enough to stop crossfire and the connectors on the old set I have seem to have held up better than the Magnecor wires I'm currently running. I have been having mounds of trouble with my magnecor wires recently, and I'm just about to stop recommending them. I've replaced 3 plug wires due to the boot and clip stripping off the wire at the spark plug, and the clip on the coil was so loose, I intermittently lost spark a while back.

Any wire you get straight off the shelf at a parts store is too thin IMO to be run with the inherent induction cross fire problem on this particular engine. The thicker wires have enough mass to handle a full spark and not allow it to bounce from cable to cable or post to post.

Mopar Performance at 7.5mm is the smallest I'd go. Taylor makes a 8.2mm wire that is good from reviews I heard from others, MSD is fine. Only problem I ever had with an MSD wire is one rubber boot let loose once and the connector backed up into the top of the boot and wouldn't connect to the plug. MSD replaced it free of charge for me under warranty. Magnecor has not been so generous with the wires I have had to replace.

If others have had trouble with them, then they are free to disagree.

Not saying they aren't an ok brand but for the for the price of a set of wires he could get just about everything he needs. I run the BWD wires and so does my dad and Gpa and we've never had problems.

I am far from the man, lol! Been wrong many more times than I've ever been right, as I usually stop once it's right, and keep trying when it's wrong.

The only issue I have with parts store wires is that I've seen them crossfire on my own truck, and the thinner they are, the more likely they are to wear our quickly. Mostly I think the insulation just isn't heavy enough on them.

The Magnecors, Taylors, and MSD wires can damn near be zip tied together in a line and they won't arc. And they are typically reusable for the lifetime of the vehicle if you don't break the clips.
