Default Reese Hitch mounting bolt size???

I paid like $25 for a pretty nice used "universal" Reese hitch for my '01...but it didn't come with any mounting hardware. Does anyone know off the top of their heads what size bolts/nuts or drilling that needs to be done?

Thanks!

i have a reese hitch i bought new at walmart. the bolts are pretty big, about 1/2 or 9/16 diameter. as best i can recall, it used all, or mostly, existing holes in the frame. i might have had to drill only 1 or 2 out of about 6 bolts.

mine mounted great and lays up under the bumper perfect.

edit - i can't remember if this was on the dodge or the old chevy, but it also came with some steel blocks about 1/2 inch thick that were used as big washers to level the hitch onto the curved frame.

All the holes should be there, and yeah the bolts are pretty big probrably 9/16 or so grab a couple bolts you got laying around and put the biggest size you can fit. Make sure when you go to the store you get some grade 8 bolts last thing you need to do is loose your whole hitch and load because you cheaped out on about $10 of bolts

The frame is straight and no need for spacers
