Default Need some help

Well my gpas ram is finally having some problems. He said Friday night it wouldn't start, well it would start but cut off if you didn't give it gas. Then Saturday he said while he was driving it if ge let off the gas it would die. Hooked it up to a scanner and it said multiple cylinder mis fire. It seems to run fine as long as you can keep it running. Anybody got any ideas. It's a 96 5.2 with 127,000 on it. He did the dizzy cap and rotor and plug wires about 6 months back.

Check your ignition coil using Haynes instructions.
Check the coil wire for damage and the proper resistance.

I didn't think to mention the IAC, I was just thinking about the multiple misfire code.
