so my 98 dodge 5.2 318 makes a weird sucking/whistling noise wen i step on it even wen its warm. i know its normal for these dodges to do that wen cold start cause my old dodge did it to. but it does it even wen the engines warmed up and it seems like its causing hesitation. does anyone know what this is? also wen i start from a stop its seems like my truck doesnt go anywhere until 2500rpms? any help will be much appritiated

 

The sucking noise sounds to be a vacuum hose that's either not connected, or cracked/ripped.

 

no its not that its coming from the motor its self. You know the whistling the motor makes from a cold start? its that even wen its warm its realy wierd

 

check the gasket under the throttle body, if it isn't lined up exactly with the TB , it'll whistle.
