Default coolant lvl dropping?

ok after driving around awhile
i can notice my coolant lvl drops

i was thinkin that it was my plenum?
but after readind the thread on it.. i doubt it
my oil lvl is fine
my.. tranny oil is overfilled.. is that a good thing?
bought it that way (used 260k miles on it)
runs fine (sorta) have a an oil pressure problem, i posted already
but my oil lvl is fine...

anyways bk to subject

possibilities of my coolant lvl dropping?
oil doesnt seemed to be mixed
so head gasket is fine?
and thread on plenum rules it out?
and no coolant is leaking

so i ask again what are the possibilities?
all i can think of is its getting burned in combustion chamber with the gas aswell?

Get a bottle of UV dye and dump it in the radiator. Go for a drive around the block then when you get back break out a black light and look for something glowing.

If you don't have a black light you can get them at walmart for something like $10.
Make sure it's dark when you do it. I think the dye will lose its glowing ability over time so dump it in, drive it then check it.

i have one.. but getting the dye is the question.. since im currently out of a job and no income

but i think itll just verify what i know.. since im pretty sure no leaks what so ever on the engine
only conclusion is it comin out of the exhaust.. burning with the gas or something

The dye is $8 at Advance http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Radiator-and-Cooling-System-UV-Dye-Interdynamics_7010041-P_N3572B_T|GRP2004A_____

Have you checked around your timing cover? I had a leak there due to a busted gasket and It took me a little while to find because the wind from driving would blow it toward the rear of the engine and I think it only leaked while running.

How is your heater core? Is the bottom of the evaporator case wet? Mine was leaking for a while before I started smelling a musty smell when I turned the heat on. Also, when I turned on the heat it would let out a little puff of steam from the vents. Then came the foggy windshield. I couldn't even run the defrost because it would coat the windshield in a fine layer of coolant and fog it up really bad.

havent checked my heater core, but my heater is working fine
when i got the truck it was runnign straight water.. and i drained it.. and turned the engine to enpty out the water

then refill with 100% coolant (2gallons) and then half gallon of 50/50
as my grandpa told me to keep it more coolant then fill rest with water

as ill be moving north in next couple of months
reason for buying the truck

at first wasnt blowing hot air when heater was turned on

but week later or so, it was.. and that is when i noticed the coolant lvl
as it sucked my cach dry
and about a half gallon of coolant in my radiator
i filled it all up again
and havent been driving much
but my cach is down to the add line
i will look closely around my drivebelt

thnk you
