Default cad?

after searching around on here i found where someone locked his original cad in by moving the fork over. has anyone else done this? and am i just looking for trouble doing this. my cad system quit on me this weekend when i really needed it and i'm looking to fix the issue for good.

the cable operated posilok is a good choice for the replacement of the vacuum operated diaphragm.

if you can cobble up a way to hold the fork in the engaged position, then there's nothing wrong with making it full time. it'll cause you to turn a couple more front diff parts, but it won't hurt anything. it might/might not cost you 1 mpg.
